Community

Community is one of our core values. We've been so lucky to be surrounded by incredibly talented and generous people that have helped us launch and grow this brand! From our jewelry production artisans to our lifestyle photographers, our Bronwen team just happens to be some of our closest friends (and family) and we've all had the joy of celebrating our successes and working out our kinks together.  Certainly the journey will continue! Our vision is that our team will always be tight-knit and that our work will always feel (mostly) like play.

We are highlighting our lifestyle photographers. We've had the good fortune of shooting jewelry together on personal trips abroad as well as organized shoots in various US locations. Our imagery is authentic, spirited and thoughtful—and much love and laughter went into each and every picture you see on our website. The Bronwen brand is typified in real-time adventures by the creative eyes of these skilled photographers.

Nicole Nicole Friend ~ Photographer
www.nicolefriend.com
Nicole Friend strives to capture the human spirit actively engaged in their environment. She is inspired by natural light, seeing beauty and grace in the simple things, and a deep connection to a sense of place.  Having lived on the ocean, sailing around the world for the last three and a half years, her senses are more in tune with the rhythms, colors, and textures of the natural world.  If she’s shooting while exploring a stunning white sand beach lapping with turquoise water, free diving with sharks, or sailing through a storm, she approaches the moment with presence, passion, and commitment.

Ace Kvale ~ Photographer
www.acekvale.com
Ace began his relationship with photography working in front of the lens as a ski model in the early eighties. This relationship shifted when he hitchhiked through Africa for five months, carrying a small manual Rollei camera. When he returned and showed his images to the professional photographers he knew, they urged him to make it a career. Ace had witnessed the world in a different way—through a viewfinder—and he’s never looked back since. Ace has also made time in recent years to achieve some very personal goals. He’s earned his black belt in Kenpo Karate, hand-built a solar, one hundred percent off-the-grid timber frame house, and raised his son, Walter. Ace now makes his home in a tiny, remote town in the canyon country of Southern Utah with his dog Genghis. Here his love of all things ancient and sacred finds daily inspiration in prehistoric rock art, Anasazi ruins, and the vast canyon wilderness that surrounds him.

Cara Gardner ~ Photographer
www.caramiaphotography.com
Creating timeless, emotional images that capture the heart of life is my passion.  I love working to preserve special moments and places around the world to share my vision of love, beauty and our interconnectedness with each other.  The emotion and spirit I work to reveal in my pictures become like prayer flags carrying the message of beauty and peace out into the world.  Whether the images are the cherished moments of a wedding ceremony, the serene reflections of light on a landscape, the cultural celebrations of an exotic ancient people or an individuals soulful beauty,  they all celebrate the sacred experience of life being lived, seen and felt.

Cara Melissa McManus ~ Photographer
My creative expression in my youth was exclusively as a dancer studying at the school of American Ballet and with Alvin Ailey in New York City, I lived and breathed to dance. A turn of events brought me to the mountains of Colorado as a young adult where I first experienced the love of the natural world. I started climbing mountains, skiing and travelling the world by translating my creative expression through the medium of film making and photography.

I have spent the last decade working as a photographer on expeditions to remote parts of the world documenting adventures of exploration for clients such as The North Face, Patagonia, Skiing, NBC, Yoga Journal and many others. I have been drawn to the challenge of the adventure and not knowing what we will find when we get there. The satisfaction has come from the relationships we create on a project in these distant places, working together to reach a goal and making beautiful images from our experience there.

My work includes locations in China, Australia, Bhutan, Burma, Outer Mongolia, Kamchatka, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Easter Island, New Zealand, Fiji, India, Nepal, and many parts of Europe.
